Point of view: Wearable systems for at-home monitoring of motor complications in Parkinson's disease should deliver clinically actionable information

      Highlights

      • Management of Parkinson's disease (PD) relies on knowledge of the motor complication.
      • Commercially available devices for PD management have limited adoption.
      • The obstacle relates to the limitations of these devices' underlying algorithms.
      • Future algorithmic developments need to address the essential requirements.
