Subacute tremor and ataxia: Diligence in pursuit of a diagnosis

      • Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) symptoms include ataxia and nystagmus.
      • Holmes tremor is a large amplitude, 3–4 Hz tremor associated with PCD.
      • PCD associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma has rarely been reported.
      • Malignancy workup and repeat biopsy is recommended if suspicion for PCD is high.
      • Treating the underlying malignancy is the most likely to improve PCD symptoms.
